#8 “Drifting Away” Thursday Oct. 10, 1991 ©

(I have no idea why I wrote this. Just found these 2 old poems that were never written into a journal.)

I can feel you drifting away
And there is nothing I can do
There is no contact allowed
Everything is and was based on fate
Whenever I try to pursue my own fate
I trip up the down trap
Then fall flat on my face
Clinging tightly to your picture
I let my mind wander into the past
You touched me
Both emotionally and physically
However short the moment
It was so personal
I can still feel the weight of your arm
Around my shoulder
But that was then and this is now

I can feel you drifting away
And there is nothing I can do
